GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED 2002 is a light and elegant wine which brings together the classic taste and profile of red wines from the Dão Region making it ideal for everyday drinking. Tasting Notes
GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED 2002 is a medium red coloured wine, with a very elegant aroma combining hints of red fruits and the evolution scents typical of Dão reds. Mouth full of balance and harmony, all elements meet to make GRÃO VASCO a great wine to drink, a wine of unparalleled flavour most suitable for food pairing.

Serving Suggestions
Versatile and easygoing, GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED 2002 is ideal with light dishes, cold meats, cheeses and some fish dishes. Ideal temperature: 14º-16º.

Varieties
GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED is made with the recommended grape varieties for the production of Dão wines - Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Pinheira, Touriga Nacional e Tinta Roriz - grown at own vineyards at Quinta dos Carvalhais and sourced from selected local vine growers.

Winemaking
The grapes for the making of GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED were vinified at Quinta dos Carvalhais winemaking facilities. After stalk-removal and soft crushing, the masses were led by gravity into stainless steel fermentation vats with automatic temperature control and pumping-over. Fermentation lasted for about 5 days, with several pumping-
over operations being carried out, so as to softly extract the bouquet and the phenolic compounds.

Ageing and Storage
GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED 2002 matured in stainless steel vats until bottling, which took place in several stages to keep the freshness of the final blend. The wine matured in bottle before being launched into the market, which happens when the wine reaches the ideal time for drinking. GRÃO VASCO DÃO RED will keep on developing for another 2-3years. The bottle must be kept horizontally, in a cool dry place, sheltered from light.
